Ingredients:
FOR THE FRIES
- Fries not-fried recipe
FOR THE CHEESE
- 250g rinsed and drained tofu
- 3 tbsp soy yogurt
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast
- Pinch of salt
FOR THE GRAVY
- 2 cups soy milk
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 200°C.
- Prepare the fries according to the fries not-fried recipe.
- Meanwhile, break the tofu into 1.5cm x 1.5cm chunks by hand for the cheese. Place on a towel and pat dry as much as possible. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the rest of the cheese ingredients together until the mixture is even. Delicately toss in the tofu chunks so that each of them are coated. Set aside and let marinate. Slightly bake in the oven for a few minutes when the fries are almost ready.
- In a small pot, mix together all of the gravy ingredients and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
Serving:
In a flat bowl or a plate, set down some fries. Top with some of the cheese chunks, and pour on a ladle of gravy.
