Given AI's rising dominance in online content for better or for worse (generally it seems to be for worse), there are increasing concerns as to whether or not what you're reading was written by a person or just generic garbage spewed out by a ChatBot.As far as using AI for the Wiki or general educational purposes are concerned, we have no real objections to it, provided that it isn't just used to simply copy and paste whatever response is received after prompting the chatbot. Rest assured, no content on this Wiki is or ever will be AI generated, in order to maintain a sense of genuineness and humanity in our content, and to make sure it doesn't get lumped in with the increasingly large volume of slop that is being generated by talentless dullards who try to profit and gain attention by inputting as little effort as possible. AI can be a very useful tool, and we do use it to help us write articles, but this is limited to generating topical ideas, research, and pulling up scientific papers.
This also extends to AI generated images. Early on when AI imagery was coming about, we did consider utilizing AI images for our pages, but given how overused they are, we've decided against it, and will only use stock images, files available via Wikimedia, and images we create/photos we take ourselves.
