How Do I Grow A Beard?

Post by Red »

I always wanted to grow a beard to make myself look more profound than I actually am, but my issue is that it never grows well on one side; The left part grows fine on my mandible, but not on my right. Not only that, but it grows relatively slowly; Takes about a week to grow like 1/4 of a centimeter.

The problem is that if I don't shave it, it makes me look like a bum, but if I do shave it makes me look fat.

Hello, Red.

You could just let the right and left grow, and then you could go to a barber shop and tell them to balance the left side with the right. You can also choose a type that you like.
From what I know also, the more you shave in some areas, the more it should grow.

I can try, but my barber says my beard won't grow much better than it currently does.

I'm going for a Ulysses S. Grant beard, those look sexiest.

I've actually read that that's a myth, but I don't know.

It's not, it worked for me, it actually did worse in some areas, I honestly hate my beard

That might be your perception (and maybe some confirmation bias).

Haha, well, what can I say? The reason why I believed that is because I went by accident in other parts of my cheeks and now hair is growing on those parts. Why? Perhaps it's because we didn't evolve from dolphins:))

Well I'm not gonna shave for a while (which can get pretty uncomfortable at first but I'll manage). I'll update you on my progress.

Simple question:
What products do you use to care for your beard?
