Monthly Update #1 (August, 2020), Philosophical Vegan projects, NEW DISCORD! And more stuff

Post by thebestofenergy »

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well.

This will be a new monthly update, regarding everything going on with the Wiki and other project ventures we’ll be working on in the future.
The purpose of this will be to keep everyone updated on what’s going on exactly, and to have more feedback and ideas on things in the making and on projects planned.

Besides various sizeable additions and tweaks all around on the Wiki, this month we were able to work on the ‘Nutrients of Concern’, covering a lot of what was left, with a particular effort given to the ‘Salt’ and the ‘Saturated Fatty Acids’ sections.
We also created a new section dedicated to ‘Food and Recipes’, featuring whole foods (obviously vegan!) recipes. We want to eventually expand this into a recipe section that will be big enough to be considered a free vegan recipe book for people struggling to switch to (or to continue) being vegan. The majority of the recipes you’ll find are practical (pretty easy) and cheap - and of course healthy. And we intend to keep it that way. This will be a very useful tool for lowering the barrier of entry to veganism.
The whole list can be found at: ‘Index of Recipes’ If you have any recipe idea you’d like us to add, please let us know below.

We have created a new Discord server dedicated to the community. This will be the new active Discord server for Philosophical Vegan.
Consider joining, and feel free to participate in any conversations or start a new one.
Come check out the server! https://discord.gg/NKfrk5h

Thank you to all the people participating in the forum and making this community a more active one.
Many thanks to all the people spending their time voluntarily helping out with all sorts of projects.
And last but not least, special thanks to the people donating to Patreon and directly supporting the making of these projects at: https://www.patreon.com/philosophicalvegan

We’re also going to open an affiliate marketing account with Amazon soon, championing the products we consider the best.
It’ll covers all sorts of things, from necessities like certain supplements, to very useful ‘must-haves’ like certain small kitchen appliances, to convenient stuff like other supplements, stevia and wheatgrass powder.
We’ll update with the list of products chosen, and if you think certain products don’t fit, or that other products should be added, please let us know below what you think.
The earnings from these will go to being able to free up more time and dedicate it working on these and new projects.
For evil to prevail, good people must stand aside and do nothing.
