Anyone here really into boxing and excited about the fight? I'm interested, though the extent of my contact with boxing was my interest in interviews with Muhammad Ali resisting the draft for Vietnam to strip his title, reading about him and Malcolm X, seeing the Rocky films, Ali and The Hurricane, then watching Rumble in the Jungle, Ali vs Terrel and some other highlight reals from the greatest boxers.

I'd like to train regularly at all round combat to feel confident at self defense holds and such, but mainly just for the enjoyment like capoeira and jujutsu.

Mayweather vs. McGregor: Toronto Press Conference | Sat., Aug. 26 on SHOWTIME PPV
Skipped through watching bits till I cut to interview at the end with Mayweather - 2h8m53s https://youtu.be/n7ZcGjg03-E?t=2h8m53s

I don't follow boxing but I am a huge MMA fan. I understand Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of all time so it's hard to see how Conor could have any chance at all. He probably knows that himself but who wouldn't agree to get beaten up for 100 million USD? I would be more exited to see them fight MMA.

Aye Connor was laughing at how big the boxing gloves had to be for Mayweather to agree to the fight, I agree it's win, win for him. MMA is too brutal for me, I would love to learn the techniques but they just allow for too much punishment in the rules, it's brain damage galore.

Boxing is supposed to be worse for your brain.
