Great message!

Was it you I heard had rescue bunnies?

I just read the post on Medium. What an excellent idea! And I love the fact that it is defined in positive terms. My only concern is the possible association with animism (the religious belief). Does that worry you at all?

That's a good point. That was nagging at me a bit too.
Although I doubt many people would notice, since it's not really common knowledge?

That's what I thought too (that it's not really common knowledge), but I brought up the idea with a friend who's vegetarian. She also loved the concept, but before I could even get to what it was, she stopped me and said (with a quizzical look) "like animism?"

So yeah, I think it would occur to many (but maybe not most) people. Unfortunately! I was really hoping that wouldn't be her first reaction.

Let's hope you have a sample bias, and your friends are more educated that the average person.

I wonder if Vincent has run into this issue.

I have never had an issue with this. I think it's common for words to have different possible meanings and i think that intuitively, animalism makes more sense when it means caring about animals. :)
