Sanders wanted the same democratic socialism that we have had in Western Europe, but I don't think it could really work in the US. The reason it's worked pretty well for us in Scandinavia is because we used to be very culturally homogenous, altruistic, high trust societies, so people didn't mind paying high taxes to help each other out. After globalization and mass immigration that has totally changed. Trust in government is at rock bottom, and the welfare model is rapidly crumbling.

I can't vote. What if you like the gay sex and the hetero sex? And I don't mind if that's a cheese pizza, but what white house are we taking over? Usually the one at the capitol is capitalized (ha!), so are we helping Bernie take over Washington, or just a random house that happens to be white?
