Hey, does anyone know what happened to the tumblr blogger that went by "vegan because fuck you"? Just the other day their blog was up, but today it just says that the page does not exist, with no message as to what happened to it.

It's confusing when a blog disappears and you can't find any information.

Sometimes this indicates that the person stopped being vegan, or since this one was straight edge maybe fell off the wagon. Shit could have hit the fan in his life.

Sometimes it may just be for work, where a controversial internet presence makes job hunting harder.

It's part of Internet culture for creators to just delete entire websites with no warning, even ones lasting for decades. This is partly on the whim of the creator, but it might also be the host laying down the law and cracking down. YouTube is notorious for this. The Web has it's strengths, but this is one of its weaknesses. There's often little sense of history or community on the Web, and it can be very controlled.

I remember back when I was an art history blogger, a really well known guy just disappeared for a year. Didn't respond to emails, etc. And then he just popped up again as if nothing had happened. I honestly thought he had died.

And then he disappeared again.

The internet makes it a lot easier to get away with being a flake!
