Why i say this is because it can be very easy to spot that some religions do have bizzare rituals and dogmas..

As a former orthodox christian - here are some of the scenarios that are still practiced in 2016 in the orthodox church.

most trully orthodox followers are kissing and praying to the dead corpses of the ”saints”...which usually are pieces of plastic or pig bones..as it was discovered in some churches.

Even if the bible is against idolatry within the ten commandments, they are praying, kissing and touching priests cloths and pictured icons with the so called figures of the saints (designed by the imagination of some monks)

Orthodox people consider that smoking contains the weed of satan

Prejudice, hate and conclict is involved when someone does not share their beliefs (a common trait in abrahamic religions)

Orthodox people believe to be granted wishes as when they crawl three times under a table containing the sciptures and other junks.

Orthodox people cover mirrors and windows when a person dies in fear arguing that the soul could be trapped within the glass

I was raised as a mormon, and I actually have been baptised in a temple for various dead people believe it or not. Mormons definitely have their fair share of weird stuff like mason hand signals to get into heaven and not being able to talk about their temple rituals, but they were way worse only a few decades ago.
