Insects

Just wondering, are insects sentient beings?

Some insects seem to be, some seem not to be. However, not all sentient beings are equally sentient.

Animals like humans, cetaceans, elephants, pigs, etc. are very sentient.
Animals like dogs, cows, chickens, cats, etc. are less sentient.
Animals like insects are usually only barely sentient.

It is more wrong to harm to interests of a more sentient being than a less one. E.g. it is more wrong to kill a human than a dog, and more wrong to kill a dog than an insect.
Of course they all have value, but we need to keep perspective. :)

Oh, thanks for answering my question. I'm new here if you hadn't noticed, and I joined this forum to discuss with other vegans and learn more about veganism.
