There's not really new information in there, but I think it's good anyway since the ethical issues where discussed which will reach many people this way. Although it does raise some interesting question for me:
Does discussing in-vitro meat do more good or more harm? My take is that it is going to be THE solution getting everybody on board in stopping harming animals for food, making an end to the brutality of animal agriculture. But it might be that because this technology is now realistically getting on the horizon, people might get lax and aren't going vegan until in-virto meat gets on the market, where as they otherwise would go vegan having no other prospects of the situation getting better.

I really like plant food; I don't want to give that up. I don't think it will ever become the main ingredient of my meal. Probably use it sometimes when it seems appropriate. I would definitely eat it in social settings with other people eating it too.

He's sometimes a bit confused about the ethics (I believe not in this episode), but nothing big worth worrying about. It might do him some good studying Peter Singer's work a bit more in detail.

Probably not for myself, but I would definitely buy it for others.
What about you?

I'm not sure if I would want to eat it myself.

I see it as gross as eating human meat. It's animal flesh. I guess it is less icky than regular meat, because it wasn't actually inside an animal's body with blood and organs etc., but still...

I think it's a very great product, though, and if eating it would be good for veganism I guess I would.

Absolutely, I had this thought as well. I feel like those people would find an excuse anyway though. It's probably more important to get the information out to people so the company doesn't have a risk of failing and turning others off from investing in this technology. I'm really curious to try it out.

It would be a funny reversal once this technology takes off for hardcore meat eaters to take the ethical high ground. People who eat only meat will judge us vegans for all the insects we kill in the agricultural fields.
