Does discussing in-vitro meat do more good or more harm? My take is that it is going to be THE solution getting everybody on board in stopping harming animals for food, making an end to the brutality of animal agriculture. But it might be that because this technology is now realistically getting on the horizon, people might get lax and aren't going vegan until in-virto meat gets on the market, where as they otherwise would go vegan having no other prospects of the situation getting better.
I really like plant food; I don't want to give that up. I don't think it will ever become the main ingredient of my meal. Probably use it sometimes when it seems appropriate. I would definitely eat it in social settings with other people eating it too.EquALLity wrote:Would you guys buy it?
He's sometimes a bit confused about the ethics (I believe not in this episode), but nothing big worth worrying about. It might do him some good studying Peter Singer's work a bit more in detail.miniboes wrote:A very good podcast indeed. I like how Sam basically asks the same questions as he would if he were a vegan. He seems to understand the problems with animal agriculture very well.
