Omega 3 to 6 ratio dilemma

I recently spoke to someone who grinds their flax seed. Is there any advantage to this vs. soaking them. If I grind them right after I buy them would they be less likely to go rancid?

Grinding will make them go rancid more quickly. But it's good to grind them before you eat them, otherwise they tend to go right through you.
