Yes, science means different things with various ways it is applied. So maybe science is applied more loosely than it used to be. It still excludes some things. Just anything with ology at the end of the name for it is not necessarily science, such as astrology or theology.

Many approaches have a name ending with -ology, and some things are called science, even by the name they have, that are not really science, with the approach that is the scientific approach. Logic can still be used with conclusions for things besides what science would ever deal with. But not many will consistently follow through with what logic would lead to, whether or not they follow something with -ology or science in the name of that.
