No, I called you a prick because you called me dishonest for no reason and started a ridiculous argument. And you didn't call me a cunt out of spite?

Not sure how you got that impression. :?
It seems to me like he was just saying you don't have to have made games to critique them.

It's on Scratch, everything you make is available online. If you don't like it, don't play it.

Because that's what this thread is about... :?
It's for people to share their games. Like a "share your drawing" or a "share your favorite recipe" thread; it doesn't imply you're a professional artist or world class chef.

I'm pretty sure EquALLity first posted on the TFES thread..

"because a game's value is defined exclusively from the perspective of the player in terms of player experience."
What does that say to you?

I didn't say you were dishonest, I was pointing out that you may have been sarcastic.
Also, I called you a cunt out of vengeance.

The most recent, and probably the most beautiful, thing I've made is flying tetrahedron whose speed and direction of rotation you can control with arrow keys. I've made it in C using OpenGL and GLUT, entirely in code, even the clouds, and it's 142 lines long. Not bad as a first animation in OpenGL, right?

Wait, when you asked why I "released it to the public", you meant why did I post it on the forum? *facepalm*

Because I was responding to what brimstone was saying about posting a game you made. You know that, you obviously read the posts in TFES thread where I was responding to brimstone's comment to teo about making a topic about games you've made. I didn't make the topic, because I thought teo would, but I was essentially responding to the topic prematurely. You know that, because you responded to me on that TFES topic. So... Wtf?

If you don't like that I posted it, you don't have to play it. Nobody forced you to click the link. This is a free forum, not your Facebook page. I can post whatever I want.

A game I made?
Plus, I didn't read it, you're just assuming. I was just skimming through it since it popped up in my notifications, and saw your name (which was odd, since you didn't post there much), and read it because it was short. I haven't read a post after page 5, except for yours and other short ones.

Okay, first of all, I don't have a Facebook page. Secondly, how can I form an opinion on something if I haven't experienced it for myself yet?

RedAppleGP wrote:"because a game's value is defined exclusively from the perspective of the player in terms of player experience."
What does that say to you?
Could you not be bothered to read the entire paragraph, or...?

Brimstone was saying you were right about something. You never made the point that the value of a game is completely subjective, so why would he say that was a correct point you made? :?
If you actually read the paragraph, it's pretty clear that he was saying you were correct that you can critique games without being someone who has made them. Literally, just read the first sentence: "Red is right that you don't have to make games to criticize them."
RedAppleGP wrote:I didn't say you were dishonest, I was pointing out that you may have been sarcastic.
Now you're being dishonest about that you called me dishonest.

You said: "That was an insult. Unless you're being sarcastic, but if you weren't now you're going to act as if you were."
That's not ambiguous.
RedAppleGP wrote:Also, I called you a cunt out of vengeance.
I thought you didn't get offended.
RedAppleGP wrote:You're right; I shouldn't have stooped to your level.

What is with this idea that name calling is so bad anyway? If you're being a prick, and I call you a prick, it's worse that you were being a prick than it is that I called you one.
RedAppleGP wrote:You should've said "Oh, you believe that? Please elaborate." That's all!
No, you should've actually made constructive criticism in the beginning. You can't just be like "ha ur game is stupid" and turn around and be like, "Oh, I would've given you constructive criticism if you asked! Just here to help!"
