What do you all think about this stupid comment below? I think most likely this person is profoundly ignorant, and has an emotionally-vested interest in defending meat/dairy/egg-consumption.
Axel wrote:What if one of their students decided they don't want to be vegan though? They're just gonna starve themselves throughout school hours? They shouldn't force their students to eat one kind of meals. No school should, be it vegan, vegetarian food or meat. I really applaud them for what they\'re doing, but school is all about learning and experiencing, how will their students mature if everything around them is based on one single experience, Veganism?
I find it difficult not to be mean to people who make such idiotic comments. This was a comment regarding an article* about a school going vegan. Hopefully this trend will continue. I'd love to see more vegan schools, as long as they properly educate children on the importance of avoiding animal-use, actually feed them adequate meals (nutritious and enjoyable), and don't promote psuedoscience (raw vegan diets, 30-bananas-per-day diets, etc.).

What do you all think about James Cameron's efforts to promote veganism?

It's excellent.
Unfortunately people are going to be idiots and complain about it as if something were being forced on the kids that was against their ethics. They're not made to eat anything they disagree with, they're just not given certain things to eat the school disagrees with during school hours; it's like not allowing a kid cigarettes, rather than like forcing them upon the kid.

How dare these anti-smoking fanatics force a lack of cigarettes upon children in public schools!

I'm sure this has been added somewhere but my favorite ones (not) are when people say "vegan food is gross" and I wonder if they've ever eaten a bean, fruit, vegetable, nut, legume, piece of bread, pasta, potato chip, Oreo, rice, noodle, etc etc.
And the ultimate ad hominem attack: "oooo you're so sensitive."
Yes I am oh so horrible for trying to be more compassionate and ethical. As if sensitivity and thought towards an animals (or humans) suffering is a bad thing.

Had to share these.

It's a wonder why I bother.

Morality is just another religion.
What do you all think about the stupid comment quoted above? It seems to me like people will come up with any pathetic excuse that they can to continue abusing animals, seeing as how there aren't any rational moral justifications. Theists use divine entitlement while atheists use nihilism. This makes me wonder whether or not atheism has any moral benefit to the world.
This is a quote that I found under a YouTube video called
What Is Veganism? [After Watching This You Will Go Vegan]*. Good, insightful video about veganism, I thought.
It's saddening to see how many ignorant, idiotic, and heartless comments are left under it. Saddening to see how shamelessly irrational people can get when they have a strong, emotionally vested interest in defending their bad habits.

Vegan Gains recently made a new video discussing the ethical problems with Canada Goose. Furthermore he advertises Mammoth Outerwear (a vegan winter-clothing company).
I realize that there are plenty of callous, arrogant carnists out there, but this comment demonstrates that some people really are rotten to the core:

Not sure if troll, or if the guy's just plain stupid. To be fair, it could easily be both.
