The one paragraph above, about the mass incarceration, represents a shift in his position. Prior to writing that this month I would not have thought of him as a vegan and certainly not as a vegan advocate. He is an environmentalist and lately an advocate against western political system. He has been in the past against meat eatinng from an enviromental perspective rather than ethical issues of animal welfare and rights.

Thanks for that Jamie! I hadn't kept up with his work that closely, and that's a great breakdown.
Sounds like he has evolved a lot in the ethical dimension.
