I completely agree. Consumption of nonsentient animals (like bivalves), and consumption of freegan foods (like roadkill and recently-expired dumpster meet) should be accepted as legitimately vegan things to do. Veganism is a moral philosophy, not a diet, and there's no good reason to view the aforementioned foods as immoral (as long as their production/acquisition does not involve avoidable harm towards sentient animals).
