I don't think that's the right way to frame it.
They challenge mainstream irrational views, which requires them to be very open to mainstream views being wrong.
They could get caught up in thinking society is so wrong that they question things society is right about.

The problem is that dogmatism/pseudoscience/etc. are so prevalent in veganism, and that it makes veganism look crazy to potential future vegans.
A stateless society, since social hierarchy does not justify itself.

I don't recall saying I advocate all of their philosophies. I do agree with their belief that people shouldn't be ranked one above the other, for example.
