Hi ,I know of several artists whose lyrics are about veganism that are pro-vegan. I've seen them in the following genres:
1) vegan hip hop movement
2) Rastafari and reggae
3) straight edge hardcore punk (abbreviated sXe)
4) punk rock/ska punk
5) acoustic
6) parodies
Vegan hip-hop: the vast majority of these songs focus on human health reasons, a few adding the social reason that rich white people who run agribusiness are oppressing the poor in ghettos with cheap, unhealthy animal products. Some also touch on animal liberation and earth liberation.
Stic (of Dead Prez) feat. Afya Ibomu - Healthy Livin'
Earth Amplified feat. Stic - Food Fight
Earth Amplified feat. Stic - Gobal WarNing
DJ Cavem - Plant The Seed Bite The Knowledge
DJ Cavem feat. Toniks of Uganda East Africa - Roots, Beans and Greens
DJ Cavem - Work for Youth
Lmno - No Eyes, No Mouth
Test Their Logik - Liberation of All Beings
Loer Velocity feat DonnanLinkz - The Hood Diet
Homeboy Sandman - Strange Planet
Jonny 5 feat. DJ Caven - So Green
Nowheyjose (youtube channel) - Mental Sun
Labtekwon - Now Cipher
Precise Science - FDA
D-Nick The Microphone Misfit - Abnormality
Reggae: this music is mostly by Rastafari celebrating Ital food (“ital” coming from the English word “vital”) for human health. Ital food is sometimes vegetarian, often vegan.
Turbulence, - If you love me (I'm a vegan, not a pagan!)
Turbulence - Ital stew
Macka B - Wha Me Eat
Jah Sun ft Ras Attitude and Lutan Fyah - No Bones, No Blood
Black Uhuru - Fit You Haffe Fit (vegetarian song, not vegan)
SkillinJah - Raw Food
Cyrus Pirasteh - Why Must We Eat The Animals? (Oh Why Oh Why?)
Straight edge hardcore punk: a lot of screaming in this genre, which I don't care for, but you can look it up yourself. Peter Young, animal liberation activist who served prison time, said that this music was central in forming his views.
Punk: Goldfinger focuses on compassion reasons for animal liberation. See their songs "Open Your Eyes" and " What Gives You The Right."
Acoustic: More pleasing to the ears for people who don’t like the screaming in hardcore punk. The only band I know in this category is xTrueNaturex. They focus on animal liberation and compassion reasons, and they sound hauntingly beautiful. My favorite songs from them:
If It Were You
Phoenix
The Middle Passage
Resolve
Other acoustic songs on YouTube: Peaches diPierro, Slaughterhouse Blues
Parodies: there are several on YouTube.
Eel Deal, Cold McDonald's
Henya Mania - Vegan Style (upbeat and amusing parody of Psy’s Gangnam Style)
Kizz and Cazz - Vegan and You Know It (another upbeat one, a parody of LMFAO’s Sexy and I Know It)
stupidhumantrix (YouTube channel) - Zombie Song (parody of The Cranberries’ Zombie)
Chipotle Scarecrow (Honest version) (original song in the commercial is by the vegan Fiona Apple)
Misc.: more on YouTube.
Medium Troy - Space Tree (not directly about veganism but about the future of our planet, which relates to environmental reasons for veganism)
Jonathan Mann and Ivory King - Song A Day #810: Vegan Myths Debunked (about how we get our vitamins from plants)
Jonathan Mann and Ivory King - The Truth About Dairy Cows (compassion reasons for why it's not enough to be vegetarian)
Jonathan Mann and others - WTF Vegan Food! (these people travel all over the country to try out vegan restaurants)
Shell123ey and John Sakar - All You've Ever Known (I love this funny and empathic take on a carnist family and how they convert.)
John Sakars - Animals Have Better Things To Do Than Become Our Shit (I love the quote at the end, because the best humor is truth-telling.)
John Sakars - Vegan Badass (amusing take on activism)
John Sakars - Animal Farmers Should Be Called Animal Harmers (most of John's videos are cheesy and dorky, but he makes a good point here)
The Smiths - Meat is Murder
Dada Vedaprajinananda - I Don't Eat Meat
Veganminstel - I'm Down On Down
Vegan Smythe - Preachy Vegan Song (he sings with quotes from famous vegans and vegetarians)
Lawrence Pradhan & Greg Kaps - Save The Human! Don't Eat The Planet
I've put these all of these songs and more in different order on a Vegan Music playlist:
