Also, that 10% number is the percent of interracial couples in general, not just white women. I'm also not sure if that number is including same-sex couples.

It's also not clear how the gender breaks down. The majority could easily be white men selecting Asian or Black partners. Anecdotally, most UK mixed race couples I have seen seem to be white men (usually not incredibly good looking) with a woman from another race (usually gorgeous). I have no idea if this bears out in the statistics, but conventionally when there is a socioeconomic disparity in a couple as one may hypothesize in the case of a racial disparity involving a traditionally marginalized group, it's the man who is wealthier and white, and the woman who is disproportionately attractive relative to the man and of another race and from a marginalized family -- it's a matter of wealthy white men taking advantage of the situation to obtain a more attractive and physically fit mate than they would have otherwise qualified for.

I don't mean "taking advantage of" to imply any judgement (although the SJW community may feel otherwise), the circumstances that gave the man enough confidence to approach the woman or the man enough relative appeal to be responded to by the woman (if we assume typical courtship patterns) don't imply the love is less genuine. Nor do those circumstances negate the value of visible interracial couples in my opinion.

If I'm mistaken and those asymmetrical relationships cause harm, somebody please educate me.
