I just thought of a fun history game.
Some people are already rolling their eyes, aren't they?
Well, here's how it works:
You state an event in history that happened, and the next person says what they think the world would be like if it never happened. Then that person states something historical, and it goes on. It's kind of like the "Make a Wish" game.
Ok, I'll start.
What if the Allies followed the ideas of the United States after World War One and didn't punish Germany so harshly in the Treaty of Versailles?
My favorite thing I think, about leaning history, is looking at the connections that led to certain things.
Like for example, if the United States never went to Japan and forced them to open borders, then Japan may never have industrialized, and they may not have ever entered World War Two. In fact, they may have become an American COLONY. Imagine how that would change World War Two and Japan today...
Or what if Otto Von Bismarck never took Alsace-Lorraine from France? Then France never would have been so angry at Germany, and they wouldn't have punished Germany so harshly. I mean, the United States and Great Britain didn't really want to devastate Germany after World War One. Only France did, because they were bitter from Germany taking Alsace-Lorraine. Without that one event, the Allies might not have punished Germany so harshly.
Or, what if Serbia didn't refuse to and over the terrorist who shot the Archduke of Austria-Hungary? Would World War One have ever happened in the first place? How would that change the dynamic of the world?
Or, what if the Allies never lied to Italy with the land they promised they would give, the coast of the Adriatic Sea? Then Italy would not have been bitter and would have probably had a much better economic situation, and Mussolini likely wouldn't have risen to power.
Or, what if the recent coup in Turkey was never stopped by the government? Then we would see a totally different Turkey today.

Oh, I didn't remember that. Well, it's kind of different though. It's not if something CHANGED, it's if it never happened.
It's kinda the same thing in a way. Want me to move this topic into that one?

Ok sure, thanks.
Alright, I'm gonna be honest here, I'm not sure how to merge topics.
