You were warned that if you wanted to continue this you should start another thread on the topic. It was pretty explicit. You were not forbidden from discussing it, but from continuing in this thread as you have been. The assertion is made to discredit credible experts you don't like; it's actually common to the pseudoscience alt-health community, but it's not acceptable to spread this around the forum, particularly without engaging with a real argument on it when confronted with your claims.user_id wrote:Can you please refer to what I've actually said? I claim that dietitians are not experts in nutritional science because, for one, they aren't even scientists. In terms of being an "expert in nutrition", that is going to hinge on what you mean by "expert". In the common language sense they would be concerned an "expert".....but in an academic sense, no, they aren't an expert.....one only needs a bachelors degree to become a dietitian. Are nurses experts in medical science?EquALLity wrote:I
user_id, how can you continue to deny that dieticians are experts in nutrition when the definition of a dietician is not only available with a google search (and not one that gives conflicting definitions) and when the definition was pointed out to you.
If anybody wants to discuss the matter of whether dietitians are experts in nutrition, he or she may start a thread on it and provide an actual argument beyond bald assertions.
If you start another account, behave better next time and engage properly with discussion.brimstoneSalad wrote:Dietitians have science based educations. If you wish to argue this point specifically, start another thread on it. This is a red herring in this thread.
Your claim was meant to discredit a credible source. if you have a problem with the source, provide another source, or examine the source itself and make a counter argument on the merits of the claims themselves.
This is a formal warning: continuing to assert this point in this thread will result in banning.
Details on etiquette will be posted soon-ish.
