I've been wanting to get this off my chest for a while. Thankfully I have the method of catharsis for it.
So as some of you may know when I joined the forum around my pre-teens, I was quite an angry, militant vegan atheist. If you've read my "Boredom with Atheism and Veganism" thread, you'll know that I am no longer "that guy". I'll say it: I was a misguided, bigoted, ignorant piece of a human, whose critical faculties were still in their early development. After (reluctantly) going back and reading some of my first posts, four words came to my mind: "What the hell was I thinking?". After revisiting my critique on the woman who thought Monster was satanic, I just told myself I should not even have bothered. I had no idea what I was talking about, yet I was under the illusion that I did. After TheVeganAtheist said he agreed with me, I felt a sense of accomplishment. little did I know I had no bases for my claims. That's just one of my posts that I am still embarrassed to talk about, but anyway, I would like to redeem myself by just trying to undo some of the stupid that as been inflicted on to the internet as a result of my ignorance and arrogance.
So sorry EquALLity, Volenta, minoboes, brimstoneSalad, Neptual, TheVeganAtheist, etc..
Just wanted to get this off my chest.

I think you're being too hard on yourself!
Of course you were ignorant before, like you are now, and like everyone always will be.
I think what matters is that we always try to be less ignorant and more open-minded.
