I'll take the supplements to be safe then and get some lite salt for cooking the beans.

You usually will not want to use salt for cooking beans, since it will make them very hard -- unless you like them that way, or have very soft water and live at sea level.
You will usually want to salt beans after cooking while eating them.

Right. Just remember that excess B12 can give certain people acne. So if you suddenly start breaking out, you might want to consider reducing your B12 intake.

The link is contentious, and probably only applies to high doses (not likely exceeded by trivial amounts in fortified food plus 1,000 mcg twice a week).
It's fine to keep in mind in case you're eating ridiculous amounts of B-12 fortified foods, or take an unusual dosage of B-12, but not something I'd fret over.
