Debunking Gary Taubes' "Good Calories, Bad Calories"

Post by Humane Hominid »

http://thescienceofnutrition.wordpress. ... al-review/

First part of an excellent on-going series of blog posts, in which the author examines and debunks the dubious claims of this terrible book. GCBC is practically a Bible for low-carbers and paleo dieters, and it's full of pseudo-science claims that have done enormous damage to American perceptions of nutrition and health.

Blog author demonstrates how almost every time Taubes cites a source, he either takes it out of context or outright lies about what it says.

Well worth the read.

This would make a great video "debunking" as well, I recommend that you suggest this in the "Video suggestions" thread for TheVeganAthiest :)
