Maybe.

Mr. Purple, your thoughts? Do you understand the cholesterol issue now, or have we not explained adequately for you?
How should this be explained?

Or, if you don't follow, or have any issues, please let us know what.

Like you said, it's better to have an explanation you'll understand/agree with until we move forward to explain the issue to others.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced about dietary cholesterol being something to worry about at this point. I would be hesitant about wording it as part of the scientific consensus though, especially with the government actually taking the active step of removing it from the guidelines after having it there for so many years. I feel like it has the potential to smell of conspiracy unlike evidence against red meat or saturated fat. Especially for someone who doesn't want to hear it, the tools may be out there to object safely without looking bad. Being the layman I am, my trusty tools of google and Wikipedia would have failed me in this case due to all the conflicting information, so I feel like it is a subject that would be better to argue with him separately if you don't want him to possibly dismiss you as conspiracy theorists. That's not practical though.

What do you think about supplementation, and should it be mentioned or tacked onto a list somewhere during the audio in the spirit of honesty?

Thanks for taking my thoughts into consideration.

That is a good point. It's too easy to look like you're disproving the claim that dietary cholesterol matters, therefore it is perhaps too tedious to mention. The saturated fat point is way harder to pretend rebut.

It should be, if we were giving dietary advice. That's not what we're doing though. Moreover, B12 is not even relevant to the issue of whether or not you need meat, because most people that eat meat do not get enough B12 either. Everyone should be supplementing B12.

Thank you for your criticism, I really appreciate it.

Thanks Mr. Purple.

Yes, it may just take too much explanation.

Miniboes, Bobo, up for editing that bit out? I think it's just a couple sentences.

Should we make a piece on cholesterol first?

Right, this isn't a diet advice video. Hopefully TVA will make that one soon.
Since B-12 supplements are available, there's no reason to believe meat is health promoting relative to the alternatives.

If B-12 were not available, people might be well advised to eat oysters, or small amounts of liver.
Like miniboes said, many carnists don't get enough B-12 (not sure about most, it also depends on age and digestion), since there's not really much B-12 in meat (there IS quite a bit in liver).

Wild animals mainly get B-12 from coprophagia, including other primates, like monkeys and fellow great apes.

I voiced the letter but I maintain my previous stance, that I don't know enough about health to argue it. It is definitely possible to edit out, but perhaps best for Miniboes to do so on his end.

I think we can reference a work that will be released in quick secession, It does not have to come out first, but we should definitely start writing it.

Hopefully I don't need to do any voice work for the next week or so. My cold refuses to leave me alone, and its been like 2 weeks now.

Would it be best to create a new topic for the cholesterol.

I think we lost a small part of this conversation too. What part do you want me to re record? Do you want me to record a section suggesting that there will be a future video regarding dietary cholesterol?

No, I don't think that's necessary. But I would like you to record the following sentence:
"Pescetarian nutrition is about as wrong as deism, but the views you expressed are closer to the young earth creationism level of wrongness."
If you figure out a simpler way to phrase it that's fine too.

Also, this comment needs to be read:

That's the part I was looking for, but the image did not come out, can you send the image again, perhaps as written text.

how about
"Pescetarian nutrition is about as wrong as deism, but the views you expressed are closer to young earth creationism in comparison."

I think that's pretty good, perhaps replacing "closer to" with "more like" is slightly better.

I fixed the image.
I'm not sure what'll sound better; reading the whole thing or just the underlined parts. If you read it all i'll just cut the irrelevant bits out if that's better.
