As mentioned previously today’s article will be about the importance and usefulness of Veganism as a complimentary lifestyle. This means that Veganism has a certain universality which allows it to co-exist very easily and transparently with most religions and cultural norms and values. It is a common denominator that can help reduce differences between civilizations while at the same time benefiting our vital common resource which is our environment.
Two very different people meet in what has now become a very small planet due to the ease and accessibility of travel. For the short time that they are together they can easily find common ground as Vegans if they are. Knowing that a person has enough empathy and kindness in them to practice this type of a lifestyle will immediately reassure people as to their common values. This will build a cross-cultural bridge between them and facilitate communication and trust. Even if just at a simple personal level and for a short time it can have long term benefits through a passive diffusion to the surrounding circle of relationships of each person.
As such perhaps it would be useful to implement an easy way for Vegans to identify one another more easily, perhaps through the use of an app or perhaps a pin to put on clothing or a sticker to put on a watch or jewelry or other.

It's an interesting idea, but the difficulty of advertising those signals is a challenge.
Plus, what about haters? It's hard to identify oneself visibly when some people may take that as an invitation to attack. Maybe if it were a secret symbol... but the more secret, the harder to advertise.

It's a nice idea, but I think that using a symbol would make veganism look like a cult. It would make it harder to defend it against those who already consider it to be a religion.
