Hey P1ant,

Welcome to the forum. Tell us something about you. How long have you been vegan?

Debating is always a stressful experience, but the more you do it, the more it feels natural. Think about how you felt before becoming vegan, at some point you probably shared their ideas too, right? As you know, changing can be painful. Most meat-eaters are just people who have never questioned their beliefs.

Being calm is not only good for you, it is also a very effective way to support veganism. We can do a lot more by being relaxed and rational than by losing our temper on any occasion. Read something about effective advocacy. There is a number of links you may find useful in this forum, take a look at them. But, again, I think that the best way to learn how to stay calm is by being exposed to these experiences as much as you can.

Also, be sure to watch some street epistemology:

One on one, that's often the best way; particularly for people who aren't necessarily ready to be drawn into a long logical discussion.

I have never had that sort of debate. I think that approaching strangers on the street like that would make me very nervous. Actually, even watching that guy doing it makes me feel mildly uneasy. Am I the only one?
