Cereals fortified with Vitamin D from Sheep Wool

Post by JordanDunn »

Sorry if theres already a thread about this.

Iv always boycotted Cereal with animal derived vitamin D, it seemed pretty obvious to me, they come from an animal therefore its not vegan, however, i was thinking about what it says on Petas website, that its pointless to avoid tiny traces of animal products, so i was wondering if this counts as too small a trace and if i'm actually exploiting an animal by eating these cereals? i wonder if i'm making any difference here by boycotting these?

I avoid it, but I wouldn't judge someone who doesn't.

Welcome to the forum, btw. :) You should make an intro!

Same here, I don't think it's a big deal.
I would not suggest buying them when there are other options, but if you're at a non-vegan friend's house and you're offered cereal, declining it might be a bad move in terms of pragmatism.

Also, welcome!
