Kale?

Post by Shadow Fox »

I bought kale recently. Who has Ideas of what I should do with it?
We are all born Atheists, everyone of us. We are born without the Shackles of theism arresting our minds. It is not until we are poisoned by the fears and delusions of others that we become trapped in the psychopathic dream world of theism.

Eat it!

I blend some of it raw in a fruit smoothy. You can also lightly sauté it in a stir fry.

I usually fry in olive oil with a bit of salt, just briefly.

It's great with some lemon juice sprinkled on it, or without.

The best parts are the flowers at the tips, I think.

In the Netherlands we like to make a mash pot (wiki) out of it with potatoes. You can add a meat substitute and some vegan gravy (vegan/fake meat juice) to it to make it complete.

I'm making this today with carrots and unions, then we call it hutspot (wiki).

Kale is pretty much synonymous with mash pot in my household. It's pretty great.

Exactly. I'm not even sure what else I can do with it other than make a mash pot out of it. Except for TheVeganAtheist's smoothie or what brimstoneSalad suggested (though that doesn't provide a whole meal) and maybe for in a salad.

You could make chips but that doesn't seem very healthy to me anymore.

This week I made the following soup, containing kale:

I can highly recommend it, as a kale and red lentil lover. Absolutely delicious.

Hi, my first post here :)

I like to use kale in stir fry recipes. Often I'll buy a pack of chopped stir fry veg from the supermarket and add some chopped kale and other veg like sweet peppers and chick peas. I'll also add chopped ginger and Szechuan sauce and have it with turmeric brown rice.
