Tofu marinades

Post by miniboes »

What are your favorite ingredients to use for marinading/seasoning tofu? So far the only sauce I've liked is one with a base of turmeric, paprika powder and soy sauce. It gets a bit boring after a while.

Soy sauce is a good base, salt pepper and oil (like olive oil) is fairly tasty too. You can also try fruit juice (like orange juice), or maple syrup in marinades if you want to try going sweet. Hot sauce is a good option if you like that. Powdered veg. soup stock/base can also do the trick for some variety (it's usually based on yeast extract).
