Vegan Festival 2016

Post by HyperSquirrel »

So, a few days ago, my mum's vegetarian friend; Fiona, told both my mum and myself about an upcoming vegan festival here in Belfast. I went to the festival and saw Fiona and I spoke to her for a little while before going around all of the stalls. There was so much lovely food and, somehow, I managed to spend £40 in less than 40 minutes. Anyway, I tried so many vegan foods - veggie hotdogs, veggie burgers, fruit bars etc. Everybody who was there was so nice and it was even busier than I had expected. I also brought home some vegan treats for my family and I found out about a new vegan restaurant which had recently opened - which I shall be visiting soon! :) Ultimately, it was a great festival filled with lovely people and excellent food. Now I just want it to be 2017 so I can visit the next one!

Wow, that's great! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. How big was it? Meet anybody your age there?

It was in the City Hall, so it was quite a big room. It had a stage and there was just one guy sitting in the stage playing an oboe. I think I was the youngest person there by a few years. I'm 15 and the people closest to my age seemed to be the 19-22 range, but that's just a rough estimate.
