Hi guys!
After watching cowspiracy, I have been transitioning to vegan ism over the last 6 months. Although I'm not 100% in terms of animal products in things like make-up etc, I can confidently say that I have not been eating any animal products for the last 2 months!
This experience has been really interesting - I have been surprised at how hard people are finding it to grasp my change. I am an anthropology student at university and I want to adapt my personal experience into my dissertation; why are vegans, and even vegetarians still viewed as a deviation from the norm, even when it is now so public - i.e. veganuary!
To do this, I need to have other people's experiences so I can go to my supervisor and explain why its relevant to my topic.
I have a short survey, which is available on this googledoc link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing
But there has been some issues with the link, so i will also post the questionnaire at the bottom of this post, so it hopefully should work!
my uni, is too much of a cheapskate for proper survey software and I've had some trouble formatting it onto the message boards. But if you could answer it down here, direct message me, or email: diss.survey@outlook.com (I can even send you a clean copy over email) then I would be very grateful!
Also, any other experiences that you want to discuss please write them down as well!
If you have any questions please don't hesitate!
All the best!

Re: Wanna help out a new vegan??
Welcome! And congratulations on going vegan!
We get a LOT of surveys here (mostly people driving by for school projects). It's a problem.
It's actually against the rules to post them on a first post. Would you mind looking around the forum and participating in some threads? Once you're a member of the community, you can post the link in your signature, and you will get way more replies.
Or, you can start discussion topics about specific questions you'd like to discuss. You just need to participate in the discussion.

Thanks!rcable wrote:Oh i didn't realise it was against the rules! Of course, I will get activeI'm sure it's annoying getting all of these!
I suggest you:
1. Start an intro thread
2. Start a thread about the project you want to do, and ask for help in formulating an easy or fun survey that will give you information specific to your project that's hard to find elsewhere or extrapolate from other answers. (currently, your survey is a little long; it's hard enough to get people to answer one question

We may be able to give you insight into these questions that you won't even need a survey for. Or provide even more interesting subjects or issues to touch on you may never have thought of.
For example, a very important issue is the schism between deontology and consequentialism (possibly the most important issue in veganism today).
