Soy and B12
Is soy really healthy? I drink carrageenan-free non-gmo fortified soy milk and get my B12 from it. Should I take B12 supplement and get my calcium from something else? What would be the best?

Re: Soy and B12
You have nothing to worry about regarding soy. If it's B12 fortified it should be enough to supplement with one B12 pill per week. You can also get calcium from kale, almonds, all greens (except spinach), and beans.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Taking a supplement is best, because it's more certain. B-12 from food is less reliable because the smaller amounts, and it depends on absorption.Fluttershy wrote:Is soy really healthy? But the soy milk sounds really good. That sounds like a possible source of B-12 for you if you don't want to chew a tablet. How much B-12 does your soy milk have per serving?
Fortified drinks are a great source of calcium.

That's pretty small. It means you need to drink/eat at least 500ml a day. Would you normally consume that much?Fluttershy wrote:50% of the daily value per 250mlbrimstoneSalad wrote:How much B-12 does your soy milk have per serving?
If not, a supplement would be much cheaper for you.

Use the 1,000 mcg supplements. You should take them twice a week.

This is a good option.
That's 300 tablets, so it will last you 150 weeks. About three years. It should be around 3 cents a day.
