Everywhere I turn lately, I hear someone raving about the stomach microbiome and how this fascinating new research will change the way we eat and will cure all our diseases.
Those of you who are unfamiliar with the microbiome should have a look at this Ted talk:

How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Re: the importance of gut microbes
I watched the video. Very interesting stuff. I'm very much on the edge with the whole "testing on mice" thing... I seriously hope there are alternatives, though, I haven't looked much into it.
Curing all our diseases? Perhaps not, but, certainly helping with a range of them, and it could create new and effective treatments.
What's your opinion on this?

It definitely won't cure all of our diseases, but quite a few digestive conditions are amazingly responsive.
