Should we run ads on the forum?

I thought this example of a picture advertisment on movieforum.com was really harmless, it's a banner that is really clearly demarcated and fits into the format of the forum, like the advertiser posted it themselves. Maybe having 1 at the bottom of every other thread could be a great revenue source for our projects.

Would have to be determined on a case by case basis knowing how much it would pay and what type of product we would be promoting.

We could contact companies directly to run ads on the forum/wiki, but I'm not sure how we'd track clicks and views. We'd have to figure out the technology first.

Well, why does it have to be a company necessarily?
Maybe we can have have an ad for TVA's store?
This also gives me the idea of adding the links to our YouTube and Discord somewhere. Maybe also Twitter feed?

I think you should. Slate Star Codex comes to mind as a good example of that.
