And if you haven't, please don't forget to give us permission to use your forum content on the wiki. Having text and arguments to draw from in fleshing it out can be very useful.

For a list of all the threads under 'vegan forum' ever created, hyperlinked and categorized for easy sourcing, so you can go back and visit all the articles you ever viewed or wrote about on a specific subject and go from there...
Here's a commonish through line we've found useful on lifestyley pages:
'=' sign just means title, 2 equals sign just means subtitle, there's an easy toolbar like when you're writing a post here on the forum, but if you don't want to waste time working out all the complicated formatting stuff like how to get hyperlinks and citations, then use something more familiar, write a page in officeword with the toolbar you're familiar with, only to save it, it needs to be in libreoffice, so you'd have to download that if you don't already use (it's free and only takes a few minutes), click File > Export... select MediaWiki. Click Save button. Then copy + paste the text into the wiki edit page.Intro...

Re: The wiki address (Please Sign up)
A few questions.
Should we contribute directly to the wiki? Since I'm not a native English speaker and also don't really have an overview of everything that has been discussed on the forum (I might leave some relevant information out), I'd feel more comfortable proposing something that will be reviewed/modified before being added to the wiki. I'd also feel uncomfortable editing something someone else wrote without us agreeing on it first (which may turn into a longer discussion). So should we first post our contributions here and then add the final version to the wiki?
The information on the forum can be incomplete (for example nutritional info). Should we limit ourselves to what has been discussed here or do we want to give a comprehensive picture of the topics? Should we quote the original sources (e.g. Norris, Greger) of certain claims some of us made on the forum?

Yes. Your changes will be read pretty quickly. Aim more for adding than taking away, but moving or reorganizing stuff that was there is fine.
I don't think anybody would have guessed. Your English is excellent.
That's OK, somebody else will add it later.
It'll be reviewed and modified within a few hours of posting.
We could do that for more controversial things. If you just see something that's worded in a confusing way or a small error that's easy to fix without controversy.
Things can also be discussed on the talk page, like if you make a change to somebody else's stuff, it's good to mention what you did and why briefly.
I think we can go more in depth, we don't need to limit to forum discussions.inator wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 10:03 am The information on the forum can be incomplete (for example nutritional info). We should probably try to link to sources where we can, but that's not essential for just filling out the content. I think we should minimize quoting to major recognized authorities (like government and NGO) rather than secondary sources. In terms of sources as much as practical, non-vegan sources should probably take priority. If we just have a bunch of Greger quotes, it probably won't be as convincing to anybody who doesn't already follow him.

Reminds me, I just traveled through your home country for the first time. I absolutely loved it and want to go back soon.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Re: The wiki address (Please Sign up)
I've got writers block atm, it's really difficult to motivate yourself to start a page to write in a very generalized way giving the bare bones, it's much easier to post to the forum when you have some personal titbit or an interesting article to share. But will get there eventually, it will get easier as we fill in the table of contents more and have more page formats as examples to draw from.
Here are a bunch of pages we've working on, you can comment here if you have anything to add or on the talk pages of the wiki or on the main page, it's in such an early stage that you can really write stream of consciousness whatever comes to mind and it will be helpful to the process, just please don't be offended if you're mercilessly edited and we'll discuss all our formatting ideas in the talk page:
