Well, metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space.

Re: New forum areas
That seems ideal. Maybe we can add a bit to the descriptions. Maybe instead of just saying what is included in the forums, give a welcoming sentence.brimstoneSalad wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2017 2:36 am OK, how about this:
We just merge the Vegan forums (both together)
and merge the off-topic serious and metaphysics
So we have:
Introductions
Vegan Discussion (debates, activism, health, etc.)
Off-Topic Philosophy (Metaphysics, atheist vs. theist, politics, science, etc.)
Off-Topic Fun
Forum Support
Here's something I'm thinking about-
Introductions
Welcome to the Philosophical Vegan Forum! Everyone from vegans to non-vegans are welcome.
Even if you're here to lurk, please drop a short intro post here to let us know you're not a spammer so you aren't accidentally deleted.
Vegan Discussion (debates, activism, health, etc.)
Come here to discuss vegan related issues, share knowledge about veganism, and have vegan vs non-vegan debates.
Off-Topic Philosophy (Metaphysics, atheist vs. theist, politics, science, etc.)
This forum is to discuss and debate general science, notable figures, abstract concepts, philosophy, and anything serious in nature.
Off-Topic Fun
Post topics here that relate to art, literature, and anything fun in nature.
Forum Support
Post here any issues, questions, suggestions,or concerns that you have relating to the forum.

Re: New forum areas
sounds good to me.
Do you find the forum to be quiet and inactive?

Re: New forum areas
I like the idea. I've stumbled across a few threads that I thought were interesting, but only when digging into sections that aren't normally something I'm interested in.

Re: New forum areas
Alright, I did a little bit of merging and renaming.
Hopefully that helps make it easier for people to decide where to post things.

Re: New forum areas
I'm probably too late now. But at least the vegan section should be separated into Vegan health and Vegan philosophy discussion, I think. Like brimstone's initial proposal. Would make things more overseeable.

Re: New forum areas
I'm wondering if health arguments aren't pretty closely linked, since in order to go vegan a common question is whether it can be healthy.
We could try separating them. I like the idea of health/food issues being in another subforum... but would there be enough posts to justify it?

Re: New forum areas
If you're going to seperate it into 2 sections, does that mean you'll have to look at each individual topic from the forum and move them one by one?
