Ask a member!- I am often on in less than peak hours, and I notice several times there are a lot of guests on the forum. Perhaps an option to question a member (mutual on both sided) would allow someone who is reserved about joining to sign up. This could be reserved as an option for senior members, or with a number or parameters.

Like a thread that allows guest posting?

That may be neat! Maybe some of the guests are already members though. I mainly use the forum at work and leave the page open, read and post if I have free time and it automatically logs me out after a while. I become a guest then, I think.

Like Jaywalker said, most of the guests are probably forum members who aren't logged in and are just browsing. It logs a lot of people out.

It would be interesting to see what the response would be if we had an area of the forum where guests could post though.
