Hidily ho!
Greetings all! Undeadfilth here! Got hooked on the Vegan Atheist's videos a few weeks back and, thanks to him, I'm proud to say that I'll be going vegan as my new years resolution. My fiance' is pissed and her family can't stop cracking jokes about it, but laughingstock aside, I'm proud and happy about this. Joined this forum to, A: show my support of tVA, and B: to hopefully get some help and support on my transition into veganism. It shouldn't be too bad, as I've been pescatarian before for several years. Thanks!

Welcome!
Personally speaking: Since I realized it was only a choice (MY choice) and went vegan it has been a positive spiral of feelings of well being, healthiness and self pride.

Welcome to veganism. I am the only vegan I know where I live so I also get to hear the same jokes over and over again.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Hi Undeadfilth, congrats on the choice to go vegan!
Shouldn't be hard from pescatarian, sounds like you were already half way there.
Please keep us updated, it will be good to hear how the transition goes.
And welcome to the forum, I hope you like it here.

Re: Hidily ho!
Hi Undeadfilth,
1) super happy to hear you are going vegan
2) welcome to the forum.
Feel free to post any and all questions regarding your vegan journey. It might also help others if you started a thread of your trials/experiences going forward. Others in a similar situation may find it immensely helpful.
The jokes can linger for a long time. People make fun of that of which they do not understand. You will also have long arguments regarding health, naturalistic fallacy, and a whole lot of misinformation and confusion. Arm yourself by reading, watching and absorbing as much as you can so you can answer any and all questions with confidence. There is nothing more powerful then truth and facts.
