Hey there!

Post by Rgrundy »

New member...just wanted to say "howdy"...!

Yep, I'm a vegan, ( 5 years), and an Atheist, (2 years+)....had SDA forced on me when I was 10 till around 15...always considered myself agnostic after that, but turned the corner several years back...now, to hell with god! :D

ATHEISM rules! Hats off to freethinkers everywhere!

Howdy!!
I do not know that christianity holds anything more of importance for the world. It is finished, played out. The only trouble lies in how to get rid of the body before it begins to smell too much. ~ John Beevers

Welcome to the forums! What is SDA? How did you become vegan?

Welcome Rgrundy. It's unusual to find someone who became vegan before becoming atheist.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

SDA is Seventh Day Adventist; they have a strong vegetarian and vegan influence in their ranks, because in short they believe in treating their bodies as temples to god, etc. and not abusing the gift they were given. Rgrundy can probably explain it better than I can.

Different way to go about it, but just goes to show that not all religion is wrong about everything (although the reason they're veg. is based on a faulty assumption, at least they got the health part right!).

Anyway, welcome Rgrundy! Glad you've joined us, I hope you like it here!
