Hi!

Post by Ramonen »

Hi guys! My internet name is Ramonen

I am a student. I do a lot of computer programming. I am an atheist.
However... it's been a struggle to share that with my friends and family.

I do believe in myself, to come to the strength to tell them soon.
I'll do it passively. Hopefully I can get them questioning themselves.

From what I've heard from some atheist bloggers... being public about
not believing in god can get me some big, big, big trouble.

I set my dietary option as other. The reason for that is... I eat everything.
I'm a broad and very tall fellow.

I would eat these different things on different days:
  • Meat
  • Vegetables
  • Fish
I'm not sure if eating different stuff on different days(not having a routine) is a good or bad thing.
I hope to be an active and open thinking member.
[/size]

My thoughts about religion

I see some good sides.
But, I also see a lot more bad things with religion(s)

I've noticed people gain self-encouragement believing that god is giving them power to proceed.
I find that pretty wowing. Does that mean I believe that God exists?
Nah....

Well that concludes it. See yah around.

Welcome to the forum. In addition to the atheist section, I hope you will find the vegan forum interesting. There are lots of tall, broad fellows, including myself, who thrive on a vegan diet.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Welcome to the forums!

Would you agree that to eat bad things is bad whether or not you do it all the time?

I'm seeing the different reasons to start avoiding meat.
At the same time... I am dependent on someone else my mom.

I can't agree.
If you think about Candy.
When you eat candy consistent non-stop you'll get diabetes.
However... if you enjoy this sweet treat once in a while there isn't much harm.
Going back to meat. I don't have much choice. I am not the most wealthy.
Most food I get at home is given to by friends. Or bought at a low cost.
My mom knowing that eating meat 24/7 is not good she tries to get vegi-only days.

It's about circumstance.
What I could agree is...
If I had the choice of eating whatever I want with no stress.
Then I could agree that to eat bad things is bad whether or not you do it all the time

Speaking of those, have you seen the video in my signature? If not, you should watch it, and report back to us.

Also, vegetables and rice and stuff are pretty cheap.

Maybe you could try to work something out with your mom, if you really want to?

And welcome to the forums! :)
