I'm so glad to have found this forum! Initially I made the decision to practice a vegan diet after researching some biochemical and nutritional information, I wanted to be as healthy as I could. That transformed over time to a primarily ethical motivation, but hey being healthy is a nice benefit! I am not well-versed in philosophy (I got through by the skin of my teeth in college), but I'm interested in rational, evidences-based discussions regarding vegan ethics and practices. I am an EMT, full time paramedic student, and one of two vegans at my job (the other being my partner). I look forward to learning!

Welcome! Nice job on landing a vegan partner. Few of us get that lucky.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
