Great! Could you give me some electronic artist names you enjoy? Do you listen mostly to popular/mainstream electronic/house, or more underground stuff?
Scratch everything I said about my music tastes. I like most types of music. Country and Metal doesn't do it for me.

I don't get too attached to bands but I guess my favorite band is Metronomy. Sia and Kid Creole and the Coconuts might be runner-ups.

Favorite Metronomy song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApBfT6cXHSE
Favorite Sia song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHdcPlfwmkg
Favorite Kid Creole song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s0onZaiL4Q

I generally like music you can easily dance to. That's just me.
For example... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiRSkLzoMaM

What do all of these songs have in common?
It's always October in Conneticut.

Welcome!
I like Infected Mushroom's "Converting Vegetarians" & "Army of Mushrooms" - according to wiki they are a "psytrance/electronica/psychedelic/indie duo", I think it's some good sh*t and there is definitely bass lines...

From time to time I actually like listening to psytrance/psybient/dub. There are great basses to be found in those genres. Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M8gqr-ZTQM for example.

P.S. We have a topic on exploring new music here: http://theveganatheist.com/forum/viewto ... f=15&t=213 Feel free to post stuff.
