Omni and a hunter hello?
Hello folks. Been looking at this forum awhile so decided you seem capable of dealing with people outside the norm. I'm a hunter and that is the main way I obtain my meat or I will buy from various free range farmers. I will never be vegan but I am curious about the thought process. I'll be nice if people are nice in turn. No problems from me. I look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome!
If you are a young person, there is also the chance that you will not have any choice but to be vegan by the end of your life.
Never say never. The arguments for the health and environmental benefits of a plant based diet are so strong that the potential realization of this may even trump the meat eating taste sensation you so dearly hold.

How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Hi bigbossomni, I see you've already jumped into conversation.
Will I ever accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior? As a long-time nontheist who has studied the Bible and Christian metaphysics and finds it logically contradictory? Very very unlikely.
Although the order in which things end isn't always based on sound reasoning, and hunting might go away before farmed meat despite being a lesser evil.
I don't like to say "never" about anything, because it's like a declaration of closed-mindedness.

Plausible with respect to purchasing farmed meat. I suspect hunting won't be outlawed any time soon since it's more environmentally sustainable than farmed meat.

Re: Omni and a hunter hello?
I just saw your introduction, and I was intrigued a bit. I come from a large family of hunters, and have hunted myself when I was younger, and slaughtered animals for food as well.
I personally think that as far as meat eating goes, it is more ethical to hunt for meat than to buy from massive farms.
Never thought I would change my diet, but I did after being here for a while. Still not Vegan, but closer than I ever would have considered. As long as you are friendly, people on here tend to be friendly as well.
Looking forward to seeing you in some discussions, and welcome aboard!

You could try chilling a bit on the generalizations, and avoiding calling moderators "cunt" and screaming about censorship when they ask you to try not to make 2-3 one line posts in a row, and not asking loaded questions like: "why dont you just admit you hate non vegans?"
Discussion is great, but there's a certain level of civility that facilitates it. It would be a good idea for you to at least assume people legitimately believe what they say rather than claiming we believe something entirely different, and recognize that vegans are not a hive-mind cult and that we disagree with each other on various topics in and around veganism.
