Hi from India
Hi everyone! Today was my first day being vegan. I'd been vegetarian for a number of years and it seemed like it was time to take the plunge.

Welcome aboard!
One thing I don't understand about the US is how Indian food isn't more prevalent. You can get Mexican or Chinese food in even the smallest towns, but Indian restaurants are usually only localized near major cities.
What part of India are you from?

Re: Hi from India
Hey! I was on a dairy restricted diet for about a month when I came across the Unnatural Vegan's channel. I had always put off going vegan because I was very unsure about giving up milk and eggs, but on this diet, I discovered that milk didn't matter so much to me. And then I cut out egg and that wasn't so bad either. I'd tried to go vegan once before, but that lasted only a week or so, I hope I fare better this time.
I'm from Chennai, which is in the southern part of India.
Maybe if veganism goes mainstream, Indian restaurants will as well, considering that so much our food here is vegetarian/vegan!

How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
