Greetings from a vegan atheist from Spain!
Hello! As I have recently moved out to go to University and, by doing so, have met a hole bunch of new people, I have come in touch with a lot of different ideas which I would like to know more about. In my urge to learn, I have found this forum and decided to join!

Re: Greetings from a vegan atheist from Spain!
Thank you! To why I am a vegan... I have a good friend with who I used to talk and debate about nearly everything. One day, like a year ago, as we were having one of our debates, the topic veganism came up. We started talking about it and we research if it was possible to be healthy without eating animal products. After that, as we realized that, in fact, it was possible, we ran out of argument to keep eating such products, so we decided to go vegan.
It may sound a bit strange, but I have always tried to ask myself why I believe in what I believe, and I have always tried to find good reasons to do so. The same process applies to why I am an atheist. I would like to believe that a God existed, but I haven't found any good reasons to do so.

That's fab!
Nothing strange about that, you should be in good company hereIt may sound a bit strange, but I have always tried to ask myself why I believe in what I believe,
A similar sentiment is mentioned in the opening line of a great book by Julian Barnes dealing with death anxiety, called ‘Nothing to Be Frightened Of’ which traces the literary history of naturalists writing about the pains and joys of life and death:I would like to believe that a God existed, but I haven't found any good reasons to do so.

I asked my brother, who has taught philosophy at Oxford, Geneva, and the Sorbonne, what he thought of such a statement, without revealing that it was my own. He replied with a single word: "Soppy."
