The trait that grants humans moral status or non-trivial moral status is the trait of being human.
(P3) There is no trait absent in non-human animals, which, if absent in a human, would cause the human to not have non-trivial moral status.
But the trait of being human cannot be absent in a human, as that would violate the law of identity.

Similar criticism can be found in the original NTT article.
However, as to that revision see:
(P3) Sentient non-human animals have the trait that gives non-trivial moral status to humans.
That's the wording of the premise that article primarily deals with.

That said, that's not the official Name The Trait revision. That can be found here: wiki/index.php/NameTheTrait_2.0%2B_(official)

I realize having so many articles up with these titles is confusing. We will need to correct that eventually and find more clear titles for these.
