Would it be possible to have a conversation regarding the toleration of pussy grabbing presidents and pedophile protecting popes?

The right wing has shown the world their best examples of representatives; Trump and Pope Francis.
The right has given us Pope Francis and President Trump. The lowest of the low; if moral fibre is looked at.

The left should celebrate the era of a pussy grabbing president and a pedophile protecting pope.

The right and their shame will ensure that the left will rule in the future.

Should the left thank the right for showing just how vile and out of touch with reality and morality the right are, thanks to their choices of immoral leaders?

Our current elected right wing pussy grabbing and pedophile protector, Trump and Francis; --- show the undecided who to vote for next time and whose party they should be in.

I cannot imagine a better gift for the left, as the left could not wish for better examples of the depravity of the right than Trump and Francis, --- showing the undecided who to vote for next time.

Your thoughts?

We'll have to see how the election goes, I'm hesitant to take anything for granted.

I wasn't aware that the Pope was politically active? In the United States, most Republicans are Protestant rather than Catholic, which goes for all Americans. Most of our Presidents have been Protestant, and only one, JFK, was Catholic. Is it different in Europe?

Anyway, the left had Bill Clinton, though he was more subtle than Orange Man. We shouldn't really be expecting the right to grab pussy since they're supposed to be Christian and G0d-ferin' men, but hey.

To be honest, I don't think politicians grabbing pussy is really that big of a deal, given their political power.

OK, you shouldn't say that - a sexual assault on a woman is a serious matter.

That being said Trump's pussy grabbing comment really was locker room talk in the sense that he probably has never literally grabbed a pussy. He has grabbed other parts, but that was an exaggeration. The left does not need to exaggerate the facts when the truth will condemn.

The thing is, when the right becomes morally bankrupt, they just move more to the center - it's been going on for years. The right cannot continue in its current form, so it will evolve.

Right wingers used to campaign against racial equality, female equality, gay marriage. They don't any more.

Right wingers used to deny climate change completely, then when that was a nonsense they downplayed it. Some years from now they won't do even that.

Look at the Conservatives in the UK. They used to be against the national health service and minimum wage. Now they most decidedly are not.

I wish people would understand that history shows that the views of right wing parties today are nobody's views tomorrow, while the views of left wing parties today are everyone's views tomorrow. Gay marriage. Climate change. Etc.

Some issues, perhaps economic issues and abortion, don't fit this pattern, but many do.

Let's have some fun and some imagine what right wing people might say 50 years from today.

"Of course open borders are a good idea, nobody in our party would deny that for a second, but we just feel that we are still 20 years away from achieving this and need the mass migrations to continue at a more controlled rate."

"Our party has supported the top 60% multi millionaire tax rate for more than a decade, but I just feel that's enough. Any higher and we could start to lose top talent."

"Of course factory farming is bad for the environment and has moral issues, and I myself am a vegetarian, I just think our current regime of taxation rather than an outright ban is the best way to handle this. It's not up to us to tell people what they can and cannot eat in their own home."

"Reparations for slavery and global warming is just common decency, we all agree on that, but we need to keep it at an affordable level."

"Don't you think the ban on new gun sales was enough? I just don't see why we need a ban on second hand gun sales at this point."

"We have already reduced homelessness to zero, isn't that enough? It isn't fair on the hard working middle classes that homeless shelters be raised to the same standard of accommodation that people have spend years working to achieve."

"We have already reduced the time we spend with industry lobbyists by well over 90%. I don't see why these people shouldn't be allowed any access to government at all. Some of them have valid and good arguments to make."

When dealing with the current batch of right wingers, no one should.
They tend to let their insecurity and tribal natures override their moral sense.

It does show their lack of respect for their own countries women.

As to Catholics and protestants, they all fly the same cross as their flag, so I only see one Christianity/Catholic religion.

They all want to ride their scapegoat Jesus instead of doing as he preached, --- which was that we should take up our own burdens and not use a scapegoat or idol worship his genocidal son murdering prick of a god.

A decent read. Thanks.

" Right wingers used to campaign against racial equality, female equality, gay marriage. They don't any more."

Look again for the first time at your right wing states and how they still do what you say they do not do.

You are correct that secular law has brought Christianity to heel to the left, but they still have a long way to go as shown by who they elected.

 :)

That reparation thing will be interesting to see, especially when our natives see it going to black while they look at their puny reserves and want to grow them into white man territory.
